Every body is different, so we believe its important to personalise your breast health. One size doesn't fit all!
There are a number of ways to take care of your breast health and we want to be with you throughout that journey. Our goal is to work with you to create a personalised breast health plan that takes into account your own medical history, your family history and other important factors such as breast density. We are with you for the long term!
Risk factors play an important part in planning your breast health activity, our team use a mixture of methods to assess your breast cancer risk, including the Tyrer Cuzick 8 breast cancer risk model which has been heavily validated by peer-reviewed scientific journals.
If you have a history of cancer in your family its important to discuss this with your GP and our radiologist, its best take a proactive approach and plan early how to manage that risk.
Regular Mammograms are an important part of your breast health. Its recommended that women aged 40+ receive annual mammogram screening.
Women below 40 who are concerned about their breast health will typically first be recommended an Ultrasound depending on their circumstances.
We also use the latest technology to help our team find breast cancers as early as possible including artificial intelligence software.
Breast Density has been in the news recently and our Radiologist Dr Monica Saini is considered one of the world's leading authorities on Breast Density.
Many women experience breast pain or find lumps in their breasts at some point during their lifetime. Often its not any reason for concern and proper imaging can help ensure that. If you have questions about your breast health you can contact us about booking a Breast Health consultation with Dr Saini.
If you have had previous cancer or surgeries then we can work closely with your Breast Surgeon and other health specialists to provide world-class breast imaging so you can stay on top of your own breast health.
We are here for every body and every breast. The Breast Institute is a safe and inclusive environment which reflects our values. We want to welcome Transgender and LGBTQI+ people to a place where you can feel free to discuss anything you wish with our Doctor.
